The Container Archival feature allows you to efficiently manage container lifecycle by archiving inactive containers and restoring them when needed. This helps maintain a clean, organized workspace while preserving important historical data.
By default, the filter is set to "Do not show archived items," keeping the interface clean and focused on active work. Users can toggle the filter to "Show only archived items" when they need to review historical data or restore containers.
Follow the instructions below to manage container archival status:
Step 1: Go to the Streamliner in your Community.
Enter the Community page. You will find the Streamliner under ‘Plugins’ on the right side.
Step 2: Go to the 'Multimodal Transport' tab.
Once you've entered the SBA app, you will find the 'Multimodal Transport' tab in the center/top of the page.
Step 3: Click on the Container, which you want to archive/unarchive
This will bring up a Container details pane on the right side of the screen.
Step 4: Select Archive or Unarchive Action
Click on the cog wheel icon in the Container details pane.
This action reveals additional container management options, including the Archive/Unarchive functionality.
From the dropdown menu that appears, locate and click either:
- "Archive Container" – to move the container to archival storage
or - "Unarchive Container" – to restore it to active status
Note: Both Archive and Unarchive buttons are enabled for all User roles, allowing team members to manage container status according to their workflow needs.
Step 5: View and Filter Archived Containers
To manage your view of archived or active containers, use the container list filters.
Filter Options Available:
- "Do not show archived items" (Default Setting)
- Only active, unarchived containers appear in your list
- Clean workspace with current, actionable items
- "Show only archived items"
- Displays only containers that have been archived
Useful for reviewing historical data or restoring items
