The Bulk Update feature allows you to update multiple containers at once in the system. You can choose to update either the destination or the attributes of selected containers.
Follow the instructions below to efficiently use the bulk update feature:
Step 1: Go to the Streamliner in your Community.
Enter the Community page. You will find the Streamliner under ‘Plugins’ on the right side.
Step 2: Go to the 'Multimodal Transport' tab.
Once you've entered the SBA app, you will find the 'Multimodal Transport' tab in the center/top of the page.
Step 3: Use the checkboxes next to each container to select the ones you want to update.
You can select multiple containers by clicking the checkboxes one by one.
To select all containers, click the Select All checkbox at the top of the list.
Once you’ve selected the containers, look for the Bulk Update button, which becomes active at the top of the container list.
Step 4: Click on the Bulk Update button to open the available update options.
After clicking the Bulk Update button, you will see two options: Destination and Attributes.
Destination allows you to update the destination for all selected containers.
For updating destination:
Select the Destination option from the available options. Destination panel is opened.
Click on 'Location' field. A dropdown list will appear, showing all available destinations.
Choose the location from the list. 'Zone' field is available now.
After selecting the zone, click Save to confirm the update for all selected containers.
Now you will see successful update result popup.
⚠️ Note: Attempting to update the destination of containers that are already packed or booked will result in the error message: "Destination change is not allowed."
For updating attributes:
Select the Attributes option from the available choices. Attributes panel is opened.
2. By default, system proposes attribute keys from the config, so you do not need to enter the value, if it's known; enter key is possible if it's a completely new key), then click "Save" button to complete the process.
System can handle several key-value pairs at once.
Once the update is completed, the changes will be visible in the container list.
Here, you can either create a new attribute by defining a key-value pair or remove an existing attribute by changing its parameters.
Part of information which may be important:
- if attribute is allowed to have only 1 value for this key, it will update the value, no new pair added.
- if attribute is allowed to have several values for the same key, new key-value pair will be added, old one will be kept (if not removed).
if attribute is required, it will be impossible to remove it.
This guide will help you efficiently perform bulk updates on containers in the system, saving time and reducing manual work.
