Users can be disabled by the 'Primary Owner', the 'company Owner(s)' and the 'Administrator(s)'.
When you disable a user, the user is no longer able to sign into the platform. But the user information is still there, which makes it easy to re-enable a user at any time! Deleting a user, will delete all personal information, to be compliant with GDPR, but all related company information is still available.
There are 2 cases that need extra attention
- You can't disable the primary owner.
- If the user that you want to disable is the last user in any of the communities that are in use by your company, Streamliner will forbid to disable this user. You first have to add a new member of your users in that community and who becomes community manager from your company in that community.
You will see following message if this user is the last member in community from your company.
Step 1: Go to the 'Users' tab
Step 2: Select user
Select the user that you want to disable by clicking on the 'Edit' tab on the right.
Step 3: Disable user
Once you're on the 'Edit User' page, scroll all the way down and click on the 'Disable this user' button.
A window will pop up asking you to confirm: click on 'Disable User' if you are sure you want to disable this user.
