Why:
It's good possible that the supplier does not know the exact number of packaging units that have to be shipped. In some cases it's the responsibility of the 3PL/carrier to determine the volumes or even the pick-up date.
Step 1: Go to the Streamliner in your Community
Enter the Community page. You will find the Streamliner under ‘Plugins’ on the right side.
Step 2: Go to the ‘Transport orders’ tab
Once you've entered the Streamliner, you will find the 'Transport orders' tab in the center/top of the page.
Step 3: Select the Transport order
Click on the Transport order where you need to adapt the packaging units.
You can consult the PU when you hoover over the column '#'
Or in the detail panel at the right in the 'Pallets and parcels' section.
If a Transport order does not contain any packaging unit, means that the volume is '0', you are not able to place the Transport order into the basket. It's not possible to book a slot for a Transport order without packaging units. In that case the button 'Add to basket' changes into a label 'Add packaging units'
Step 4: Adapt the Transport order BEFORE you place this in your basket.
Click on the configuration wheel on the right to edit the transport order of the supplier. Do this with caution and only when you are sure that you have the right data.
In the section 'Packaging details', you can modify any Packaging unit. But you need at least 1 packaging unit before you can save the transport order.
You can not confirm the transport order if no packaging units are defined. The action 'Assign to carrier' is disabled.
As soon as you corrected/improved the packaging units, the transport order is ready to be scheduled in a shipment.
