A Community has four types of profiles for companies:
- The receiver: the company that own the community
- The supplier: a company that will deliver goods for at least one of the locations that are part of the community
- The LSP or carrier: a company that is responsible for the transport of goods
- The principal if you are an 3PL
Profile 1: The Receiver
The receiver is the company that invites suppliers to join the community. The receiver will place purchase orders for these suppliers and suppliers are responsible to deliver the goods. Streamliner manage the inbound of the receiver.
Profile 2: The Supplier
The supplier is the company that is invited to the community to collaborate on the inbound of the receiver.
Profile 3: The LSP or Carrier
The carrier is a company that is invited to join the community to take care of the transport of goods. The supplier or receiver assigns transport orders to the carrier. The carrier is responsible to book an appointment to deliver the goods.
Profile 4: The Principal
The principal is the company that is invited by the 3PL and who's good are stored in the 3PL warehouse. A principal can monitor and track all actions on the shipments that are performed for him by different carriers.
